Mecklenburg County developed a Behavioral Health Strategic Plan to solicit input from both service providers and the community at-large, by-way of community engagement meetings. The purpose of this engagement is to assess the behavioral health needs of the community to enhance the impact, coordination, and alignment of Mecklenburg County’s behavioral health services/contract. Mecklenburg County in coordination with Alliance Health, will  develop a behavioral health strategic plan encompassing the full scope of mental health care, crisis treatment, Intellectual and Development Disability services and substance use treatment options that are inclusive, equitable, and responsive to the unique needs and experiences of all residents.
