The Surya-Chandra (Sun and Moon) Mandala was inspired by the Indian folk art style tantra. Tantric art commonly consists of religious and symbolic imagery, patterns, and shapes. This sun and moon mandala was inspired by my interests in astrology, my beliefs in the duality of gender and sexuality, and the balance of masculine and feminine energies in self and/or partnerships.
